Who We Are
First Asset Recovery is a First E-Commerce company. We were founded in Austin, Texas in 1997 and incorporated in 1999. First E-Commerce, Inc. employs 85 people in the Austin Area, operates 3 retail stores under the name DiscountElectronics.com and sells Dell PCs and Laptops online under the brand PCforSale.com. PCforSale recently formed an alliance with SkyMall and will be featured in their spring catalog. This venture will put our refurbished Dell Computer equipment in front of 1.5 million travelers per day.
For the past 13 years our growth has been organic and steady. We have built this business on honesty, fairness and good business practices and relationships. We have been purchasing end-of- life Dell equipment in Austin and all over the country for many years. First E-Commerce has many large-scale clients who have used our computer recycling services for years and we will be happy to put you in touch with some of them if you need a reference.
Why Do We Pay More?
The answer is really pretty simple and comes in three parts.
1) We only refurbish Dell equipment. This makes our process simpler and less expensive than the competition.
2) We only sell retail. Although our prices on our retail sites are extremely low compared to other retail outlets, they are higher than wholesale. We collect more on average than the other Asset Recovery Firms so we can pay more.
3) We sell every Dell piece and part. We offer an extensive line of Dell Parts on
DiscountElectronics.com. The non-functional units that other recycling centers pay you little or nothing for have a greater value to First Asset Recovery. We can sell what the others cannot. Not only does this get you more money for your retired Dell equipment, but it means that more of your retired Dell IT equipment is going back into service, and that's better for the environment.
